Day 9
Yesterday, on June 12th we visited the WORLD CENTER FOR BIRDS OF PREY in Boise. The birds of prey that are housed at this center were rescued and are given the attention they need to be nursed back to health. Some are released back into the wild and others that cannot return to the wild live their life at this center. Also at this center is a museum of the ancient art of falconry, gallery of birds of prey paintings, library, and gift shop with bird books all dedicated for learning about these powerful birds.

This Red-Tailed Hawk was shot in the back of the head with several BBs when he was a baby. He cannot be released into the wild as he was raised with humans at such a young age and would not be able to survive on his own.
