Christmas Blessings

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.  Romans 15:13

Yesterday I took our annual Christmas pictures of Julia and James at home on the beach.  I think it was the coldest (59 degrees) and most windy day of the year.  They shivered in their bare feet even more after a wave splashed up on their clothed legs.  James thinks picture day is the worst day ever; to have to get dressed up and have his hair put just right so Mama can snap away for an hour is just not fun.  Julia agrees.  This year wasn't so disagreeable they confessed, as Mama was more patient and spoke with a kinder tone.  I was more patient with their silliness and they were more willing to get it over with with sweet poses and hurry back to a warm home and a mug of hot cocoa.  The annual Christmas pictures are my favorite to look back on; cherished memories of growing up, captured at this special time of year!

And some silliness...

If I could sketch like this...
