We started this day visiting a small town bible teaching church 35 minutes from downtown Boise. Garrett, the children and I could see ourselves being part of this church body. The teaching was good and fellowship was beautiful. So many nice families, many of whom are from California and will be homeschooling! The morning was a blessing:)
We shared with a couple families at church our plan to float on a raft down the Boise river after lunch (it was in the brochure as a fun family thing to do). They kindly informed us that people will usually not go in the river until July as the water is yet too cold. Also, all the rain has caused treacherous conditions with the swiftness of the river and the swollen water level.
So we went to the GREEN BELT to just have a look...

The air temperature was 80 degrees. We found a safe little area to enjoy the river, but it was so cold!
So cold their legs and feet were red and felt funny...Time to get out and warm up by running around with our lacrosse sticks.
It was a gorgeous Sunday at a beautiful park in Boise, Idaho.

What a fun night to have dinner with my dad and mom in Idaho! My parents are on a road trip too; just happened to be at the same time, so we planned to have our paths cross. Tomorrow morning we all drive up to RED FISH LAKE in the Sawtooth Mountains.
